Oracle Cloud’s in-house SmartNIC is called Acceleron, and it supports NVMe/TCP, hardware encryption, and “bare-metal NIC patching” (whatever that is).1 They use it as their backend fabric in a multi-plane topology.1
Dedicated Regions
Oracle also deploys “Dedicated Regions” which can be as small as three racks and install into customer datacenters.2 I assume this is the process by which Oracle will be supporting its Genesis systems.
