HPE Cray Supercomputing Storage Systems K3000 is HPE’s DAOS appliance to be sold alongside GX5000. It was first announced alongside the Discovery system.1
According to Chris Mellor,2 it is composed of 1U HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen12 general-purpose servers, each with:
- 2x 48-core Intel Granite Rapids CPUs3
- 512G, 1T, 2T DRAM3
- 20x E3.S NVMe drive bays
- ??? NICs per node3
- 400G Slingshot
- 400G InfiniBand (NDR)
- 400G Ethernet
- 85 GB/s read/write3
- 2M 4K random3
Each rack then has:
- Between 4 to 40 nodes (RDHX required for 40-node racks)
- Average 20 nodes per rack
- Up to 75M IOPS1
- Up to 12.32 PB raw ()
