QScale is a Canadian colo provider that was founded in 2018 to primarily focus on GPUaaS providers.

Finances

They rely heavily on debt financing (borrowing money rather than selling shares for equity); in November 2024, they announced financing of up to $320 million provided by Desjardins Group, Scotiabank, and Export Development Canada.1

Facilities

Its Q01 campus in Lévis, Québec can scale up to 142 MW and is powered exclusively by renewables.2 It has facility water and supports up to 400 kW per rack.

HPE (presumably Greenlake) is a customer there.1 Given the 400 kW per rack power density of the facility, it may have been designed with Cray EX in mind.

They announced plans to develop a second campus in Ecoparc de Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville in Montreal.1
