Mercury

Mercury is an RPC framework specifically designed for the needs of high-performance storage. It was introduced in 2013 and jointly developed by researchers at Argonne National Laboratory and the HDF Group.¹

It is being used in a variety of research storage systems. It is also used by DAOS.
